Roof on Insaka

We are finally going to put the roof on the insaka. The grass had to come from far away, because all local grass coverers insisted that local grass was not good and had to be replaced every year. So on the way back from Lusaka, carpenter Chanda took a few hundred bundles of grass with him, plus the necessary wood. Today they are being prepared.

We keep track of their progress on video, for all the public but especially for the Flying Furniture Makers, who had to cancel their trip last year due to corona. In the coming months we hope to be able to show them some of the Zambian skills via video and online exchange, and vice versa.
